Ed Pelsterpark, Haveneiland-West, IJburg
Op zaterdag 11 oktober 2020 is in IJburg een bewoner door jongeren ernstig belaagd. Terwijl hij ’s avonds zijn hond uitliet op Haveneiland-West werd hij door een groep jongeren uitgescholden en werd er vuurwerk naar hem en zijn hond gegooid, waarbij de hond was geraakt, ware het niet dat de bewoner hem net op tijd wegtrok.
Het incident deed zich voor aan de Maria Austriastraat bij het Ed Pelsterpark en de Kiekstraat bij het Sem Presserhof. De bewuste bewoner heeft de volgende oproep geplaatst in de (besloten) Facebookgroep ‘IJburg, de andere kant. Ongecensureerd.’:
Harassment with fireworks.
Please be on the lookout for a group of about 5 or six teenagers who throw fireworks at people and dogs.
We were walking our dogs around 23:00 on Maria Austria straat. The kids were walking on the opposite side of the road. Parallel to Ed Pelsterpark they shouted obscenities at us and threw a firework at me and my dog. Luckily I could pull my dog away in time before it exploded.
They ran up the road and we gave chase. We lost them amongst the buildings. We then walked down IJburglaan and called the police to file a report.
On our way home we saw them emerge from Sem Presserhof. They approached us again I told them I called the police and I took the picture below. They then promptly ran away.
